    BBQ LODGING

On the south flank of Brokenback off of Route 16 is Deer Haven, a cluster of cabins, 2 guest houses and a lodge that serves meals from 8am to 8pm.  We have BOOKED both guest houses, four adjacent rustic cabins and two motel-style rooms.  The pair of guest houses are nestled in the woods by a stream with an outdoor hot tub in between!  See photos below.  The 2-story "Ranch House" has 4 bedrooms (3 with a queen bed, 1 with a bunk bed set), 2 full baths, a living room with wood burning stove, a kitchen and bar.  The "Swiss Chalet" has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed each), a kitchen and a bath.  Its upstairs loft overlooks the cozy living room and big stone fireplace.  There are sofas and ample floor space everywhere else for those wanting to just roll out their sleeping bags (which we can provide).

Next-door are four rustic cabins for those wanting a more private setting; however these have no plumbing so you'll have to use the bathhouse or the showers in our guest houses.  Across the parking area we also booked two traditional motel-style rooms if we need the extra space.

Please note that there will not likely be any snow in early June; the photos below are from January.

And of course there is camping up on Brokenback Mountain for anyone who hauls a tent and camping supplies along!  Who's up for their own "FNIT" on Brokenback?

TUESDAY NIGHT AT GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK

Our Yellowstone/Teton roadtrip's lodging will be at Signal Mountain Lodge, nestled between Jackson Lake and Signal Mountain itself.  (This is the only other "Signal" in Wyoming besides Signal Butte over near the bottom of Brokenback Creek.)  Everyone's room has a waterfront view of the majestic Tetons across Jackson Lake!  Each room has two queen beds, a double sofabed, a kitchenette, private bath and plenty of extra floor space for sleeping bags.

We will arrive after dark, so we encourage you to wake early and let the red light of the rising sun set ablaze your first view of the Grand Tetons, their glory doubled by reflection on the still waters of Jackson Lake.  EDelMar will also take anyone who is awake on a hayride in Ennis' truck to the nearby top of Signal Mountain to watch the sun rise.

FIRST AND LAST NIGHTS AT THE DENVER DOUBLETREE HOTEL

The arrival night and, one week late, the very last night of our Brokeback gathering will be at the Denver DoubleTree Hotel, where we have a block of 100+ rooms reserved to keep us all together!  Unless you need to leave prematurely, we strongly encourage you to lodge with the group at the DoubleTree so we can meet any block quotas established for reduced rates!  2-person rooms will be around $60 per person, which is an excellent price for this full-service hotel.

The DoubleTree is located on Quebec Street in the city's principal block of hotels serving the airport.  Free shuttles depart often for the airport, giving BBQers easy access to DIA.  The DoubleTree has numerous amenities, including a pool and spa, sports bar, lounge, computer room and more.  The adjacent Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd is a direct route into downtown Denver, just a few miles to the west by shuttle, car or bus.

Stay tuned to this page for future details!
